The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) places disinfectant cleaners into one of four toxicity categories. BYOTROL24™ is an EPA-registered disinfectant and qualifies for a Category IV toxicity level which is noncorrosive, emits no harsh chemical fumes, and requires no gloves for use. As a worry-free and non-irritating disinfectant, it is not necessary for BYOTROL24™ to list first aid instructions or warning statements that you typically find on other surface cleaners.
The four toxicity categories, from least to most toxic are:
- Toxicity Category IV is Practically non-toxic and not an irritant. BYOTROL24™ – NO caution statement required by EPA
- Toxicity Category III is Slightly toxic and Slightly irritating. EPA requires CAUTION statement
- Toxicity Category II is Moderately toxic and Moderately irritating. EPA requires WARNING statement
- Toxicity Category I is Highly toxic and Severely irritating. EPA requires DANGER statement

BYOTROL24™ contains neither ammonia nor bleach.
Bleach is a powerful chemical that can destroy germs. Unfortunately, bleach can also damage or stain the surfaces in your home. Bleach also produces harsh, unpleasant fumes that can irritate the eyes, mouth and lungs. Scientists at Byotrol developed BYOTROL24™ to be bleach-free while delivering strong, effective, and long-lasting germ control.
